Our story
Chronos Quantum was founded in 2019 in Bangkok by a team of quantum physicists, distributed-systems engineers, and global HR operators. We believed the next era of work would be fully distributed — and that the legacy tooling for hiring, paying, and managing cross-border talent was fundamentally unprepared.
We named the company Chronos for time — the scarcest resource in any hiring decision — and Quantum for the multi-state nature of modern employment: a single engineer can simultaneously be an EOR employee, a contractor in another jurisdiction, and a participant in three equity plans. Our platform treats these states the way quantum mechanics treats superposition — and collapses them only when needed.
Today we operate four regional headquarters (Bangkok, Singapore, London, San Francisco) and serve more than 1,400 customers across 32 countries, including category leaders in robotics, financial infrastructure, AI research, and semiconductors.
